SPPF Awards Two Grants

In October of 2018 The Saint Paul Police Foundation released two more grants to two deserving programs.

The first grant was allocated to the Police Explorer Program. The program provides young adults, ages 14-21, with hands-on experiences, skills, and opportunities to explore careers and lifetime interests. These work-site based career opportunities allow young adults to see first-hand what a career really entails. Visit the SPPD website if you would like to learn more.

The second grant was allocated to the nonprofit, Books to the Rescue. Books to the Rescue’s missions is to comfort kids in crisis by touching the lives of children while promoting literacy. This program helps stock first responder vehicles with engaging kids’ books to help soothe and distract children during emergency situations.

The Saint Paul Police Foundation is proud to help not just our officers but also to help our community and those in need. Ensuring the health and safety of our community is done not just before a crisis occurs but also during and afterwards as well. The Foundation hopes to continue our successes moving forward as we close out the year. Click here to donate.
